from the Secretary of the Hongkong, Canton, and Macao Steamboat Company, Limited. I have caused the Company to be informed

that their letter has been forwarded to you.

Foreign River Steamers are no longer eligible for Special Licences under Section 38 of Ordinance 36 of 1899.

The two vessels referred to in the letter hold at present French Passenger Certificates which under Section 10 (2) (b)

of Ordinance 36 of 1899 exempt them from taking out Passenger Certificates.

Their French Certificates expire next year
